Occational Headaches are Normal. WHAT!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

All too often, I ask my patients if they get headaches and here is the usual reply:  "Yes, about 1-2 a week but that's just normal."  And I say:  WHAT!!!  Headaches everyday or just once a year are not normal!  They are common, but not normal.  There is a cause to everything that we are feeling and headaches are not the exception.  The headaches that chiropractic most commonly helps with are called cervicogenic or tension headaches.  Tension headaches usual start in the neck and wrap around or over top to the front of the head.  Chiropractic also helps with certain migraines, cluster and or chronic daily headaches.
As to how common headaches are, here is a quote from the question and answer section of the WHO (World Health Organization) website:
 "Q: How common are headaches?
A: Headaches are extremely common. The most common type of headache is the "Tension Type Headache". Available data suggest that in developed countries, Tension Type Headache affects two-thirds of men and over 80% of women. Less well recognized is the toll of the chronic daily headache: up to one adult in 20 has a headache every – or nearly every – day."
So if you are having frequent or just occational headaches, please let us know so that we can help you get to the CAUSE of the headache.

Yours in Health,
